Twelve Of Hearts is the debut album by English experimental songwriters, Daniel O’Sullivan and Richard Youngs.
 
Originally titled The Perfect Formula, this suite of twelve songs are based on a singular chord progression. A distillation of popular music idioms, each song is predicated on a vocal arrangement of consonant four-part chords over which one or the other sings a lead. The music is augmented by an array of sources including piano, tape machines, guitars, reeds, strings, metal sheet and computer.
 
After releasing O’Sullivan’s two solo albums ‘Veld’ and ‘Folly’ and Young’s 2018 album ‘Belief’, Twelve Of Hearts is the duo's first for Tim Burgess' O Genesis label.
